This is a digital knit pattern made so that you can create your own version of the Tailcoat Top.  

The Tailcoat top is the perfect everyday elevated basic, due to the classic construction and fun slit/opening.  

The pattern is made-to-measure, size-inclusive, and you can use any type of needles & yarn! You can create the top using scraps, variegated yarn, or mohair, or make it more classic.  

You can decide to make your top as a short-sleeve, long-sleeve, or anything in between! It all depends on your preference.   

You can also customise the split of the top by adding pins, bows, ribbons, buttons, laces, and so much more! You can also decide the placement of your split: in the centre, revealing the belly button, on the side, or wherever you please!

Tailcoat Top, like many of my designs, has in mind you and your ability to create your perfect top, exploring your creativity! 

 I offer two different fits for the top: regular or slim-fit. 

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners/intermediate knitters who are willing to make their first wearable piece and want to take on a challenge! I include step-by-step instructions, graphs, and explanations of the stitches, accompanied by photos, and linking video tutorials.   

The pattern used US terminology and Continental style.
